RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

My love for poetry and narrative imbued by an exploration of sentimentality and longing underpins my graduate collection: ‘Unfinished Duet’. Drawing from a sense of Anglomania and Romanticism, I developed the collection through exploration of archetypes and gestures pulled from school uniforms and lingerie. Collecting and re-contextualising tactile vintage materials, ‘Unfinished Duet’ explores materiality and silhouette as a means of evoking a sense of ‘self-conscious historicism’, subsequently allowing my collection to turn on an axis of history within a contemporary narrative.
