“Ill-Luck” takes inspiration from the Victorian funeral dress resulting in three transforming dresses. Throughout the collection, black is transformed to a romantic and youthful shade of pink. The project aims to offer an independent perspective and re-examines the symbology of black in western funeral culture. Vivid pink is used as a metaphor and symbolises the continuation of the deceased in the hearts of the living.
