'Growing up is overrated' Is a collection that embodies my younger years' curiosity, creativity, and playfulness through intuitive brushstrokes inspired by paintings from my childhood. Drawing on personal experience of adulting, it is hard, and sometimes I wish I had that protection and cluelessness of a kid who doesn't know about the harsh realities of the grown-up world. When creating the prints, I tried to empty my thoughts and recreate them as I did when I was a kid, without the pressure of thinking about the outcome. Doing this was freeing and allowed me to create shapes and strokes that I would never have thought of. My collection aims to create a sense of comfort by marrying playful and fun elements with modern formal archetypes that can be worn together or as statement pieces.
