Future Archive is my emerging research-based design project developed through the BA Fashion (Design) program. Future Archive strives to understand and critique contemporary consumer and material culture through the act of archiving discarded fashion items and exploring systems of reassigning value and sentimentality to items otherwise deemed as waste. I have developed editions of Future Archive that act as an alternative to seasonal collections and allow for one theme to be explored in depth while using the existing project framework. The realisation of each edition engages with research and invites contributions from a cross-disciplinary creative community.
