RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

Allure 2021 reshapes the connotations of restrictive garment details and undressing as a form of sexuality, into recognizing the body as an organic entity that should be seen as a form of expression for the authentic self. This is expressed by breaking down garment codes to reinterpret their societal implications. Specifically, form fitting lingerie and corporate work wear archetypes are merged together to create hybrid interpretations. Influenced by the post-pandemic lifestyle, soft tailoring techniques and adjustable garment details provide comfort for the body, supporting the body’s movements whilst adapting to it’s natural changes.
