RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

As a "plus size" queer woman in fashion a lot of the drive behind my work comes from my desire to dismantle harmful and unrealistic body ideals and allowing all bodies to have access to fashion so anyone no matter what size can express themselves however they wish. Clothes should be made to fit people not the other way around. For this collection I wanted to take this ideal and show that it can be done in a cost effective environmentally friendly manner. To achieve this I used second hand garments and up-cycled them to give them a new life.
