Grace Lily Halpin-Clarkson

My project is expressive of the intersection of fine art and fashion. I would like to touch on the philosophy of the internal expression painting. Great artists who have inspired me, describe the act of painting as a form of language, an act of happiness, a mediative flow state. My gravitation towards the philosophy of artistic expression is that it is tied strongly with my identity. The layers of dresses are symbolic of the layers of watercolour I use to create depth in my watercolour paintings. They are also symbolic of the layers of ego falling away when entering a lucid flow state through a meditation.
