RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

I have produced a ready-to-wear lingerie womenswear collection that empowers the female wearer and attracts the female gaze, with strong beliefs that we should ‘[refuse] the notion that female fashion should be modelled on the perception and appraisal of any voyeur.' (Hebe Street, n.d). ’Gaze’ teaches women the notion of reaching a complete state of stylistic self-governance. In this collection, I aim to celebrate the female body through deconstructed lingerie archetypes and explore how it can enhance a woman's figure and empower the individual. ‘Gaze’ explores the notions of revealing and concealing the female body, reinforcing the idea of self-governance.
