Judith Sharkey

RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

I consider my experiences of spirituality as a source of inspiration for my designs. With-in daily modern life it can be hard to integrate and contextualise such a feeling of spirituality. “World-building” is my developed approach to design. Informed by research; developing characters and their physical environments helps me: to contextualise, to better explore, and to house these experiences. This relationship to fashion has instilled my belief that as people find a voice, image, or feeling for their own experiences via art and creativity, a deepening of connection with oneself can be made.
