Madeleine Anais La Ferla

RMIT Bachelor of Textiles (Design)

My collection of work ‘Native Bloom’ is inspired by an appreciation for the beauty of Australian flora and obtaining gratitude for our natural surroundings and the beautiful things around us. I feel blessed to live in such a great country with the most intricate and superb flora and fauna. I sat in my outdoor studio hand painting my favourite Australian flora such as red flowering gum, silver wattle, bottle brush, hakea, and different types of banksia whilst listening to the chirping of the blackbirds and sparrows.
