A bride crying on the beach - this vision triggered the creation of my graduate collection, 'Pretty Emotional'. It is a timeless emotion-inspired collection created to capture nostalgia and romance at a standstill. This collection is curated alongside my written poetry based on expressions of emotions ranging from confusion, heartbreak, and feelings about love. Each look has an individual poem creatively expressed on the garments with mixed media applications. I printed the typography to represent internal feelings on the outer parts of the body. I upcycled various materials, including an old wedding dress and created floral embedded bioplastics to allude to an old romantic aesthetic. This collection is for the emotional girl, for the hopeless romantics. A pretty emotional collection.
