Tumbah Teripsah (Growing Apart) is a ready-to-wear collection that references my lived experience of growing up bi-cultured. These pieces explore the subtle intertwining of Balinese references into contemporary modern designs. Shapes, textures, and colours draw from the earth and its environments with the conscious effort to develop this collection using second-hand fabrics and remnants. The landscape formation of the rice-paddy fields is seen embedded through various pieces. Tumbah Teripsah is a celebration of growing up bi-cultured, of the journey and growth.
