RMIT Bachelor of Textiles (Design)

Taking inspiration from logos, advertising, and the repetition of branded items, ‘Consumed’ is a tongue in cheek collection about consumerism and commercialisation. The title is a play on consumer culture but also on the food items that are the focus of most of my designs. Consumed explores the themes of fatigue and general helplessness that people can feel regarding their spending. It’s not a piece that poses itself as a solution but rather mimics the incessant branding and marketing that people receive and adds a layer of irony.
