RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

I have always favoured being a maker over a designer. For me, making clothes is joyful, and it is my enthusiasm to share this kind of pleasure with others. My project "A Square of Cloth" was inspired by the zero-waste design philosophy and Issey Miyake's APOC, both of which seek to reduce production waste. The "Square" stands for zero-waste, but it also stands for minimalist design. While simple in design does not imply easy, the entire collection is comprised of a variety of materials that give the garments various textures and create layers on the body.
