RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

We've lived through COVID-19, witnessed the Russia-Ukraine war, and Japanese nuclear wastewater release into the ocean. This prompted me to reflect on the future of humans. I aim to use this collection as a medium to raise awareness about the damage we're causing and to connect with those seeking a better world. Inspired by my envisioned image, I chose iconic architecture to symbolize human history and stability. Just as buildings protect us, garments offer protection from the environment. Each piece in my collection, 'The Vanishing Guardian,' is an interpretation of Big Ben's fall, symbolizing potential destruction and harm caused by us.
