‘Dressing Room’ is a collection that explores the boundaries of wearability through oversized shapes informed by furniture design, sculpture, and industrial packaging. Each garment follows a method of translating cubes and rectangular prisms into fabric to drape or retain their form on the body and references the construction of the familiar brown paper bag by expanding its proportions to fit the human figure. The key elements of colour, shape, and performance nod to early 20th century art, including the Bauhaus and De Stijl movements.
