RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

In my childhood memories, my father was often absent due to work, but his office goldfish became a symbol of his presence in my life. This collection transforms that emotional connection into wearable
art, using reclaimed materials from second-hand stores - carpets, curtains, and tablecloths that carry their own histories and warmth. I deliberately incorporated bottle caps and buttons that create gentle sounds, mimicking a fish's movement in water. By combining soft knitted textures with these found materials, each piece becomes a tactile expression of memory and connection. The collection speaks to the way we preserve and reimagine childhood moments, turning absence into presence through design.
