Eleanor Saldana

RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

My project celebrates the Aurora Australis, a mesmerising natural light display caused by solar particles interacting with Earth’s atmosphere. Experiencing it this year filled me with awe and reminded me of the beauty in nature—a beauty often overlooked in our tech-driven era. Sharing this wonder with loved ones, I felt the importance of cherishing such moments. This project aims to evoke that same wonder in others, using digital printing and tambour-beaded embellishments to create visually compelling designs. By centring my work around the aurora, I hope to inspire action on climate change to protect our world’s natural wonders.
