RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

The home assesses presence, defining the true and inward existence of self.

My graduate collection explores how familial identities build a home and draws from my own Dutch heritage. Challenging expectations of conservatism, modesty and religion, I developed a collection of black wool garments that encase both delicacy and ordinariness, through subtle tailoring and exposure of the form. The garments function as a canvas for layering blue embroidery and leather bags. The first look at this collection aims to be encapsulate the evanescent feeling arisen from entering a room with a haunting identity.
