Shuqian 'Leticia' Hu

RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

My project is based on contemporary life, blending the natural beauty of lotus flowers with the design principles of modern Chinese style to explore a fresh interpretation of "Neo-Chinese." I aim to break the stereotypical image of Chinese aesthetics. I delve into the graceful forms and colours of lotus flowers, combining them with the clean lines and elegant colour palette of modern Chinese style to seek my own "new."

"The lotus springs from mud, and yet it stays pure and untainted."
