In our society where the fashion industry continues to dictate aesthetics, we are constantly denying ourselves in order to come closer to fleeting trends and elusive beauty standards. The question is: do we unconsciously conform to social notions of beauty, even if they do not reflect our own values? I am interested in exploring the psychology of narcissists and whether it is still morally flawed to exhibit narcissism within the context of the beauty- anxious fashion industry.
