Emily Jego-Rolfe

RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

Inspired by the outfits of my youth and the nostalgic fashions of the late 90s and early 2000s, this collection aims to bring the playfulness of childhood back into our lives. By using slow handcraft techniques, such as crochet and screen-printing the maker is given time to slow down and reflect in a world that is experiencing so much upheaval. Through this the garments possess a joyful quality that is transferred to the audience experience of the designs, providing a sense of hope for the future.
