RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

This collection reflects my distrust of the fashion industry. It combines scrap materials and custom prints and references my personal creative origins - sewing patchwork quilts with Ma (my mother’s mum). The jacket was created collaboratively with loved ones. They were asked to consider their favourite textile pieces and submit images and quotes reflecting this. These quotes were embroidered on the inside of the jacket. The print design draws inspiration from my favourite textile piece, a hand-sewn hexagon quilt made by Ma. This was the initial source of the collaborative project component. The jacket is a reflective collaborative piece whilst the remainder of the collection is the commercial realisation of this personal project.
