Abandoning the Curtain Call is a capsule collection that attempts to respond to and promote sustainable consumption through exploring the abandonment of disposable fashion- substituting this for high quality, transeasonal pieces constructed from primarily upcycled and repurposed materials. My collection explores inclusive accessibility through designing pieces that are adaptable, adjustable, and interchangeable, so that their life in the wear cycle can be extended through changing bodies and preferences. Through applying surface transformations and distorting archetypal placements, the garments invite wearers to consider how wardrobes may be updated, reconfigured, and presented in contemporary ways, without the need for over consumerism.
