RMIT Bachelor of Textiles (Design)

After a challenging year, my work ‘A Sense of Self’ uses the methodical process of weaving as a mediative process, allowing the time to reflect on my experiences, collect, and process my thoughts. Once off the loom, the final lengths of cloth have been sublimation printed with images of my loved ones as well as my own body parts in a collage style manner to explore a physical sense of self.

Ultimately connecting both the inner and outer self this textile based installation consists of two lengths of cloth woven from polyester and wool.
