The collection encapsulates the feelings of escapism from reality to the metaverse. Derived by my enjoyment of video games during covid, I was inspired by the gaming culture and aesthetic of RGB lights. To recreate the aesthetic and division of the metaverse and reality, I was prompted to use materials that had similar qualities. Bioplastic was utilised to represent the urbanisation of society with organic materials, juxtaposing a ready-made, iridescent vinyl material that radiates and reects the feeling of transporting down a portal to the digital realm.
