This project uses the Ngarigo word for snow gum —'Waraganj'— and features a pair of upcycled skis, stylised through digital printing, beading, embroidery and 3D modelling depicting a Waraganj. Snowboard support work is additionally presented alongside the skis. My explorations were motivated by family ski trip nostalgia, thus developing a passion for promoting sustainability within the ski industry as well as exposing its un-sustainability to the wider public to summon change.
