Jedda Bahloo

RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

'hmm…must have missed it…' draws attention to human and environmental relations within the fashion industry that are often hidden, ignored or annihilated. This work is underpinned by an engagement with Karl Marx's commodity fetishism. I aim to make plain the human interconnection in the creation of a garment, as well as the environmental costs of garment production, consumption and disposal. My work blends art and fashion to create meaningful pieces that assist in creating change within the industry.
