My project launch is a capsule collection that is a continuation of my fashion persona explorations. During that process, I explored the concept of being repelled and attracted by a piece of garment and/or persona simultaneously. Furthermore, it led me to begin my obsession with rectangular elongated silhouettes and forms. My current concept has developed from the previous. I explore the juxtaposition of control and perfectionism in contrast to an inner wild and animalistic nature. The provoking elements within my work and the forms of the elongated and rectangular in conjunction with an element of wildness are evident all throughout the collection. The materials that I utilised within my collection include leather, faux leather, hair, and metal. I utilised a monochromatic pallet throughout the collection. I am a strong advocate for promoting a slow fashion approach within the industry to combat fast fashion and increase a greater connection and satisfaction among consumers and the garment I want to be able to create pieces made for longevity and timelessness.
