Neurodiverse Fashion, a sub-category of Adaptable Fashion specialises in mental adaptability. A form to promote inclusion, the category often faces the unconscious bias of designers who attempt to appeal to mass audiences, only touching the surface level or too restrictive on creativity, due to differing expectations and the vast spectrum to cover minorities' needs.
Through ‘Head-Space’, I present Neurodiverse Fashion through my experience and adaptability preferences. Functions involve weighted and compressed material explorations merged with preferable sensory and adaptable archetypes to normalize these concepts with an abstract twist. My project revolves around ensuring correct representations of neurodiverse design applied through fashion concepts.
