Eaint Hmu Khin

RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

This collection is about looking into ancient cultural aspects and reusing the archetypes in contemporary couture of my own. My culture is very little known and I aim to show off the beauty in textiles and design features through my practice. Through this collection, I leaned into couture and evening looks, while I replicated the archetypes of ancient Burmese garments and added/changed it to modernize it. In the future, I will be exploring more prints and textile manipulation while researching deeply into the culture and the best ways to make it contemporary and suitable for everyday wear.
