I want to challenge the pre-existing ideals of beauty standards; questioning the necessity of these beauty ideals we often restrict ourselves to, through design
speculation. Envisioning a new ‘ideal world’ where individuals masked their features but instead showcased their identities on the outside. By using lace piecing, cyanotypes and fabric manipulation, I curated a collection of transitions from reality to illusion, deliberately blurring the boundaries of conventional beauty. This unveiling process celebrates the intricate layers of one's feminine identity, embracing our true self and diversity. Intimate and beautiful but imperfect yet fitting together - covered but naked.
