RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

In my project "The King and the Beggar", what I mainly want to express is my endless pursuit of carnival and the mental and emotional gap and struggle after the carnival ends. Excessive material pursuits have now led to extreme spiritual emptiness. I always go to nightclubs and alcohol to satisfy my spiritual needs, but the silence after each madness is like a huge darkness covering the colours of my world, making me feel more painful and broken. I combined the chaotic emotions of my crazy self and my forced acceptance of my quieter self. I use a variety of colours, fabric variations and silhouettes, as well as various conflicting elements, to express my personal emotions of constantly switching between the two identities of king and beggar.
