The "Limelight to Leisure: Dancewear Transitions" collection follows the contrast between
the on-stage vs off-stage dancers. My modern dancewear collection reveals the mask
dancers wear on stage to hide their nerves and exhaustion, as they must appear confident
in their choreography. I've used graceful designs, vibrant colours, flattering silhouettes, and
flexible materials to capture this false confidence. Underlying insecurities have been
emphasized with contrasting elements such as black fabric, tight boning, and stubborn,
wire-supported detached straps. Inspired by my dance journey and ballet history, I aimed to
reinvent traditional ballet attire.
