RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

The collection "The Gilded Cage" explores my personal journey confronting societal beauty expectations. It tells the story of a woman who initially embraces societal beauty standards but gradually becomes aware of their harmful effects, leading her to distance herself from those norms. Within this narrative, I view hair, skin, and emotions as distinct body elements. It connects to my experience with hair loss and my feelings about public appearance. I visually express these inner thoughts, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing well-being and confronting the daily challenges associated with beauty ideals.

The collection explores archetypes through dresses, primarily using Nylon Ponte Knit and leather materials, with a central focus on metal.
