Raramdamn meaning “to feel” in Tagalog, is the exploration of Filipino-Australian identity, through decolonisation of design. Also, the celebration of femininity and self-love. As a person of colour, I previously found it hard to feel seen. This project shows the progress and journey to self-love, with my Filipino-Australian identity. I wanted to capture the essence of my adolescence growing up in an environment that was different and having to shape-shift to fit in. Then later coming to the realisation that all the things I previously hid from the world were beautiful, and is a part of who I am.
