I've been puzzled by the scarcity of elderly Chinese lesbians in online dating, unlike their gay male counterparts. Despite my involvement in the LGBTQ+ community and offline events, I've never encountered older lesbians. This sparked my quest to unveil their hidden stories. Through research, I discovered that elderly lesbians grapple with multiple identities, contending with age, gender, and sexual orientation. Societal pressures have stifled their emotional exploration due to historical gender roles. I deeply empathize with their struggles and intend to organize a unique wedding ceremony, challenging norms while integrating key Chinese wedding customs.
