Natasha Morgan

RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

My intention is to create designs that came at a time when I was incredibly heartbroken, and I was searching for a catharsis or escape within my own creative outlet. Each garment would carry my coming of age and my own personal history. I wanted to explore and experiment with textile manipulation like burning of fabrics, distressing, decaying, fraying and pleating. A lot of my work aims to provide a sense of release; I want to create a juxtaposition of sadness and pain with beauty and euphoria all at once.
