"Modern Nostalgia" is a resort wear capsule collection that brings the memories and experiences of my past to be transcended to the present. Born and raised in Jakarta, I have been accustomed to Indonesia’s tropical climate. Growing up, I had always been observant of my surroundings, looking over the window and observing the different lifestyles and landscapes I would come across. These childhood experiences of mine inspired the creation of my resort wear collection. The purpose is to create contemporary pieces from traditional clothing, while still incorporating my personal style. Modern Nostalgia is the notion of giving back to my beloved homeland.
