Phuc Ung

RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

Professor Chalayan, I’m Phuc Ung from Australia. I’ve made 11 lousy collections
and it’s all your fault. In 2007, my sister forced me to watch your ‘One Hundred and Eleven’ runway show. After that, I gave up my dreams to become a medical doctor and decided to begin my search for a transforming dress. What I respect most is that you never needed to use frivolous materials to tell everything that’s essential about human life. So far, I’ve made 11 lousy collections and I’ve decided to make another 30, because I refuse to stop until I have proven to myself that “I’ll Never Be As Good As Hussein [Chalayan]”.
