My design explores the emotional processing of adults within the confines of a contemporary oppressive society. As an East Asian, our societal expectations often demand emotional stability both in professional and personal spheres, necessitating a detached demeanor to maximize individual worth. However, how does one release these restraints when plagued by negative emotions such as anxiety and unease?
Constructing an imaginative realm within one's mind serves as an effective and convenient outlet for emotional catharsis. Within this fantasy world, all rules can be disregarded and any audacious act can be pursued; yet ultimately, our must confront the unforgiving reality that awaits beyond this illusory carnival.
