The collection 'Rising Beyond Abuse' addresses the global issue of domestic violence. Through a film performance, I depict the journey of women experiencing and overcoming domestic violence. Pain, struggle, and feelings of being trapped, injured, wrapped, and bleeding are prominent in my work. Utilizing transfer materials, UV resin, and bustle making techniques, I designed unique wedding dresses symbolizing relationships. The layered, torn, damaged and dyed white fabric expresses the wounds, scars and bleeding of domestic violence. Through my art, I aim to empower survivors to break free, regain their identity, and share their stories for support. I hope the film evokes compassion, empathy and support for those experiencing domestic violence.
