Being second generation Filipino my perspective of religious institutions differs from my fellow country folk. Sunday Vestment is a couture collection that explores the relationship between religious heritage and contemporary identity, analysing the different modes of presentation that are seen in the church. From rigid uniformity, soft tailoring and the imitation of religious imagery. Maintaining traditional motifs whether it be through collars, accessories or texture and combining them with sleek modern design approaches.
