This project is a proposed costume design for the short story “I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream” by Harlan Ellison. Our narrator Ted drags us through a terrifying world where he and four others are the last humans on earth. An Artificial Intelligence named “AM” has wiped out humanity but kept these five alive to torture them indefinitely, a fate worse than death. The design of each look is a mix of my own research and aesthetic, alongside direct references from the book. I have made a film to accompany my designs to fully immerse you in this world. Enjoy.
