IDIOMS: À LA MODE’ draws a comparison between the trends of fashion and the trends of language within French Historical and Societal contexts, spanning from centuries ago to the modern day. Having analysed the fluctuating nuances within the abstract meanings of idioms over the years, alongside the evolution of relevant fashion archetypes over concurrent periods. I have translated the intricate stories of three idioms into the realm of fashion through my three looks, leveraging vibrant visual symbolism to speak on my behalf. The collection is imbued with my signature tongue-in-cheek humor and artisanal techniques.
