“A Continuation of the Glory Box (Μπαούλο – Baoulo)" is a personal exploration of my identity as a Greek-Australian and how I can preserve inherited traditions beyond language through ancient craft. This 6-metre handwoven fabric draws inspiration from my Yia-Yia's polychromatic rugs, passed down to my mother in a 'glory box' when she moved out of her family home. By adding my fabric to this tradition, I reflect on the intersections of lineage, craft and belonging. I offer a space for connection for those who may not speak the language of a culture they are born into
