Erica (Yan Tung) Lau

RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

Throughout my fashion journey, I believe garments should embrace and celebrate the body, centering it as the main art piece. My collection explores the concept of blending the boundaries between fabric and body by highlighting natural shadows and highlights created by creases and drape lines. Silicone fabrication is used to simulate the way wet fabrics cling to the body, forming drape lines that accentuate the body's natural curves. Drawing inspiration from Greek statues, this collection celebrates the beauty of the human form while offering a modern twist with silicone textures that emphasize a ‘wet’ effect.
