‘Asira’ is an exploration into the fusion of natural elements and the resilience of ancient landscapes, showcasing garments that embody the erosion of time and the adaptive transformations of ecosystems. Inspired by environmental hybridisation, natural decay, fossilisation, and ancient armour techniques, the collection features deconstructed, textured pieces made primarily from deadstock and locally sourced suede, leather, wool, and fur. Each garment, finished with art finishing techniques, evokes the beauty of weathered artefacts, erosion, and an appreciation for the organic world, biomimicry and regeneration. These pieces tell a tactile story of transformation, reflecting the intricate narratives woven into our environment and symbolising the earth’s capacity to reclaim and repurpose.
