RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

"Poetry of Motion," inspired by the timeless film "The Red Shoes," explores the intense emotions of obsession and desire. Through fabric manipulations like shirring and gathering, I disrupt traditional ballet elegance to symbolise inner turmoil. By blending classical ballet with menswear influences, I aim to balance performance aesthetics with everyday wearability. Central themes of texture, motion, and emotion are conveyed through intricate detailing and fabric choices. Subtle red accents pay homage to the film, representing desire and passion. With "Poetry of Motion," I invite wearers to embrace life's nuanced rhythms, both on and off the stage.
