Maurits Bruns

RMIT Bachelor of Fashion (Design)

My project looks to the ideas of reduction to establish and create unique forms with a primary focus on outerwear pieces. When considering the ideas around reduction I am able to focus on the finer details of each garment and how they can work harmoniously throughout a collection. Taking inspiration from architecture and furniture design I was able to extract a theme of strong and direct lines with bold silhouettes. These silhouettes are aided by the colour selection in each look. A tonal colour palette has been selected for each look as to highlight the various textures and fabrications.
